Avatar Crisis

I'm sick of looking at my own face, and I'm thinking I need a new avatar. I've already tried out Senor Diablo and Tiki, and I've been thinking of some likely cartoon characters: Wile E Coyote, Foghorn Leghorn, Underdog come to mind, depending on how things are going for me at the moment. These are a few of the avatars I'm considering. Please bear with me while I try em out.

Any other ideas, I'm open to suggestion.

Personally I vote for Johnny Depp as Hunter H. Thompson, even though I wore my Underdog hat this morning and it was pronounced by the Starbucks barista to be "awesome."

I am including my link here for a bit of shameless self-promotion, since I'm registered here but blog elsewhere.

I second the Johnny-as-Hunter avatar. The girls'll swarm here for that one.

Although ... I do quite like your Shriner's hat ...

LESS TALK MORE MONKEY!

I'd say either Johnny Depp (as Hunter S. Thompson) or less talk more monkey. But, that's just my opinion.

Renault does have an awfully snappy cap there, though.

Fetch me my bucket hat, my aviator glasses, a smoke, some wild turkey and a half dozen grapefruits. Johnny Depp as Raoul Duke it is.

You like Renault Lulu? I've seen Casablanca about 10 or 12 times over the years; I realized something last time I saw it:

The first couple times I saw Casablanca in my early teens-early 20's, I always identified with Victor. Then, in my late 20's-late 30's I identified with Rick.

Now I identify with Renault.

I never identifed with Ilsa, mostly because I would take Bogie over Paul Henreid any day of the week.

I can see identifying with Renault. He's taking care of himself in an ugly situation, and when push comes to shove, he does the right thing.

I'm late (and so's he) but Lee Marvin's always one cool mofo.

I dig Lee Marvin. I'm trying to find a chapter of the Sons of Lee Marvin and see if I can join. Tom Waits says it's "halfway between the Elks Club and the Academy Awards."
