The compound is under construction. Gathering enough plywood, galvanized tin and used trailers takes time, not to mention stockpiling all the shotgun ammo, canned goods and bourbon.
Language is a virus from outer space was one of those quotes that Laurie Anderson turned into a song. I likes me some Laurie but I found old Bill a tough read.
Oh yeah. Some of it's real tough going. Try "Junkie", which he wrote under a pseudonym. I have a signed paperback copy of that one.
"Cities of the Red Night" was pretty linear too.
If you ever find a copy of a record called "You're the Guy I want to spend my money with" get it. It's Burroughs, Laurie Anderson and John Giorno, and it's got some great stuff on it.

just bugpowder. and no funny bidness.
Is that during his Language is a virus from outer space tour?
That's the work of one of your countrymen Dale--David Cronenberg. I think that's from the set of Naked Lunch.
At least, I hope it is.
Yes, but isn't that William S. Burroughs shaking there?
Yes. It is. He's obviously embracing his hallucination.

I've heard of that now that you mention it. I see the LP is on eBay but I've no record player. I'll have to see if I can find mp3s of it somewhere.
The autographed book sounds cool. No junkie sweat on it is there?
