Fascinating, but I don't think Santa is putting it under the tree for me.

Damn!

My mother's youngest sister has a copy of the Stones' Satanic Majesty's Request with the 3D cover. It's a big rarity, and would be worth more in better condition.

Does it have rings from drinks being set down on it?

Not that bad, but pretty bad.

I think my father's monoaural copy of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band's first album does though.

Wow.

We have an old copy of Freak Out, Frank Zappa's first record (dug out of MizBubs' basement, left there by an older brother) that still smells vaguely of weed.

I was just thinking of that phenomenon-- pothead roomies cleaning the seeds and stems on an album cover. Another example of technology making things worse (along with the fluffers put out of work by Levitra). Can't do that on a cd case.

I had some roommates in college who would clean out their stash and dump the seeds and stems into a potted plant I had. After I moved out, the plant died and I put the pot outside-- in more ways than one, as I found out. A couple of the seeds started growing, and soon had a couple of little plants growing. I got rid of them when I discovered that my neighbor in the trailer park was an officer of the law.
