Sweet Dreams

Ignore the Christmas tree, and the snow in the background through the window. Just dig the understated cool and relax...

I like that fact that the first girl walks in wearing shorts and then Astrud walks in front of a snowy window. Also, the woman at Astrud's table appears to have forgotten her pants.

Wonderful song and great chill vibe though.

I saw the woman who was the original girl from Ipanema on tv some time last year. She's about 70 and still hanging out at the beach in her bikini.

Great Sunday morning music. Oh, it's Saturday.

Hey Bubs...check out this video which I found through TTL's blog. He found it on a Tom Waits fan page here. Enough links for you? The video is pretty damned awesome.

Dale, those links are great, thank you! Come on Up to the House is one of my favorite songs, ever. I've always wanted to hear it played in church.

Katy, I think so.

J.G. the hair is awesome. There's easily about 2 gallons of Aqua Net at work in that room. Now I'm off to play tag.

Danny, Lulu. It appears this video is from a brief, obscure but important period during which Stan Getz played as the house band at a water park in the Wisconsin Dells. I think no-pants woman just came from the steam room or something.

Barbara, how did she look?

She actually looked pretty damned good - not a day over 50.

I also like that the first shot of Astrud has her looking a bit like Jo from Facts of Life.
