The compound is under construction. Gathering enough plywood, galvanized tin and used trailers takes time, not to mention stockpiling all the shotgun ammo, canned goods and bourbon.

Yeah! I haven't heard that in ages, and I do play a bit of mean pinball myself (albeit on the computer, so that's sort of lame).
Did Tom Jones introduce the Who because the song was from Tommy? I'm am so confused.
Barbara, that's an excerpt from his old TV show "THis is Tom Jones"
I think Pinball Wizard might've been a single before Tommy came out. I'm not much of a Who fan so I'm not sure. I was struck by how young they all looked.
Keith Moon and Pete Townshend are fabulously animated characters. Keith looks like Animal from the Muppets and Pete, even on this pretty easy going tune looks like he might smash his guitar at any moment. I love them.
Oh, and the single "Pinball Wizard" was released the same year as the Tommy album, 1969.
I am conflicted about the Who. As much as I love Pete Townsend is as much as I HATE Roger Daltry. Which is a lot.
Roger Daltrey comes dangerously close to fitting the same description given Robert Plant by my eldest daughter. When she first saw a video clip of Led Zeppelin from their early 70's prime, she described Plant as a "prancing shirtless freak."
Oooh Tom Jones. Classic Tom to boot! Even if only for a second or two...I'm in heaven. Thanks Bubs!
Daltrey and Plant both fall into the "vain lead singer" category for me. I agree with Mindy. I love The Who, but I am not a Daltrey fan. I kind of put up with him.
