More Testicles!

More video featuring Mr. Testicles. Man, that runner had balls. He got videotaped everywhere! You can see him about 58 seconds in.

This was shot by another first-timer. Now, I don't mean any disrespect, but when I ran my first marathon the last f*cking thing on my mind was bringing along a camera or video recorder. But that's just me.

This video also features the Boys Town rifle drill squad, which was at mile 8, and you can see the runners already beginning to walk. The video then jumps forward to Pilsen, and some footage of my heroes on 18th Street. She's also got some good video of the time when the race was canceled; you can hear the announcements over the police loudspeakers and see the firefighters opening hydrants. It looks like the runner was probably around the same point in the race that I was when it happened. The runner makes some negative comments at the end about the city which, in my opinion, are not deserved. I think a lot of folks don't understand that the race organization is a separate entity from the city of Chicago.

wonder why he feels the medals doesn't mean anything to him. I mean if he finished it should mean that he accomplished just that. Hell I can't run a quarter mile never mind a marathon

Mr Testicles is hard core, man!

But I really don't understand where the videographer was coming from when she said the medal meant nothing to her. I think she is just being sensationalist.

Man, he must be nuts to run in that costume...

I saw on the news that some are speculating this could hurt Chicago's chances for the 2012 Games. How absurd that people don't realize organizations other than the city government put on these events. And who would expect such hot temps in Chicago in October?

You know, I used to run many, many years ago and only stopped because I seriously injured my ankle in a permanent way, but every year I always contemplate trying again. I still miss it. I am so glad that I didn't pick this year to do this.

Ten, I'm sorry to hear about your injury. One of my brothers-in-law ended up with a bunch of pins and plates from a motorcycle crash and he'd been an avid runner before that.

Beth, I don't think it will impact our chances of landing the Olympics. How well our city officials provided "entertainment" and "gifts" to the Olympic committee is more important.

Johnny, whoa, you're a good crowd!

Barbara, I thought so too, but I kind of understand given that this was her first time.

You've gotta have balls to wear a costume like that! I'm just glad you survived Bubs. I checked in on you the other day and was glad to see you here.

Yup, pins and plates. My brother used to try to stick magnets to my ankle until he figured out it was stainless steel and it wasn't going to work.
