Dig this

The eldest and I just got back from seeing Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds at the Riviera Theater.

Wow. What a show. He opened with Night of the Lotus Eaters from his newest record, followed by Dig Lazarus Dig, and then Red Right Hand. The rest of the night is a blur. The man really pours his heart into his work.

When I grow up, I want to be Nick Cave. Or Mick Harvey. Maybe just hang out with them.

That's so cool! Dig, Lazarus, dig!

I hope I can catch him this time 'round.

Three cheers, man!

(One of the scariest songs ever may be "Tupelo" eh?)

Lookee yonder, lookee yonder!

Erik, he did an awesome version of Tupelo. He only did one song from Murder Ballads, though--he ended the set with Stagger Lee.

Vikki, no, but it was stilla great show.

Beth, I just found out a few weeks ago. He added a show in Chicago, so we got lucky.

Cormac, and writes novels too. I'll have to read one.

Gifted, don't we all?

Mob, Fran, I'm sorry. I don't mean to flaunt my good fortune.

TIOP, Nick is just 4 years older than me, and like Tom Jones and Tom Waits he gives me inspiration on aging.

He was just here too and I kick myself for not knowing in time enough. He got good reviews. You lucky man!
