So, no work today. I can sit here and drink some coffee and contemplate going outside to clear the snow. Here's what's on the jukebox this morning:
Beat on the Brat—The Ramones
Walk This Way—Aerosmith
Psycho Killer—Talking Heads
Baby Please Don’t Go—Ted Nugent
Gimme Some Good Times—Lou Reed
Sweet Child O’ Mine—Guns N Roses
Lawyers, Guns and Money—Warren Zevon
Little Red Corvette—Prince
Looking For a Kiss—New York Dolls
Consoler of the Lonely—The Raconteurs

And now, a public service announcement from Sprawling Ramshackle Compound:
Vodka and polar bear swim dares don't mix.

Holy crap that was funny.
I don't care who you are, that there was funny!
This mix has me thinking you are far more awake than I am at this hour.
That's why I always let someone sober test it for me.
Holy cow he could have broken his neck. Ice and diving don't mix. But ice mixes nicely with vodka drinks!
Oh man! That hadda hurt!
I love "Sweet Child of Mine" - I'll be singing that all night now. Thanks :)
Suzel, cool. For once I give someone an earworm that is NOT irritating.
Spartacus, no kidding. Look at how wobbly he is getting up.
MnMom, yep. They should have stayed inside the lodge, sitting around the fire.
Randal, good sound thinking.
K/K, thanks for stopping by! Welcome--please feel free to look around. Yes, the morning mix was pretty high-energy.
Skylersdad, Dr MVM, I thought so. It might even be funnier than watching guys shoot each other with fireworks.
I see they speak the international language of drunkenness.
The guy with the camera would have laughed even harder I'm sure if there had been blood involved. Nice list, David Byrne's been haunting my dreams lately.
Ow that's COLD.
Lookin' for a Kiss is too damned funny, even now . . .
I'll bet they are now regretting they didn't bring along a board game.
God, I love this blog. LOVE the song Psycho Killer! Haven't heard it in ages. Downloading now.
PS: E-stalking you back today.
Oh no. I'm reading your song list and thinking "I wonder if that song is on Rock Band?"
Help me, I think I've finally crossed over to the dark side.
I can hardley believe it myself, but I don't own anything by The Raconteurs.
I should change that.
"Psycho Killer" is one of the songs my kids and I have been doing on Rock Band 2.
I love that New York Dolls song! I looked up the lyrics so that the kids and I can play it in one of our hootenannies, and discovered, to my surprise, that it's about a guy in love with a junkie.
