Work is for suckers

That's what popped into my head today. I love having a day off on Monday when the rest of the working world returns to the grind.

Here's my plan for today: have lunch with the lovely and talented MizBubs, who is slaving away at the library, then head down to Fantasy Costumes to pick up some zombie makeup for our eldest. And then just generally drive around and enjoy this glorious day.

And now, a quick glimpse of Monday morning at the Compound:

See you later, alligators...

Ah, springtime in the midwest. I miss tulips and other spring bulbs.

Sounds like a great day!

Enjoy your day off Bubs, and thanks for the email! You are one of the truly fine people who I have "met" out here!

Sounds like a great day. Add some cocktails and some of your bbq in at the end and it will be picture perfect.

I must say the compound looks like quite a pleasant place.

You have flowers? We just lost our last patch of snow on Sunday.

I see a compound, but I don't see any ramshackle. Nice to know that unlike where Sky Dad is, it actually thawed in your neck of the woods.

I tweeted a similar sentiment this afternoon... now I know I was correct because you could not be wrong.

Whoa. Talk about your Manifesto (not you, Bubs).

I'm glad you had a lazy Monday - and a weekend all together. Hi, Nora!

A much shorter comment here, but I am giggling and loving the fact that part of your day involves purchasing "zombie makeup for our eldest".

Priceless.

I love going to Fantasy Costume! I need to make a wig buying trip when I am home.

Sounds like a lovely day!

Lazy bum. Right now (well, yesterday) someone somewhere was having zombie n'fornicatin' bank robbery and getting away with it. Hope you're happy.

Guess I'm a sucker. Shit. I thought I'd licked that problem, if you know what I mean.

Have a good one, Bubs!
