You made it Bubs. Porky In Wackyland? That's a great title.
Oh man, the Zappa doing a straight song (if I remember rightly). Have to put that CD on right NOW.
Help, I'm a Rock!
danny, Freak Out is one of my favorite records of all time. Since the puter won't play 33rpm albums (no connected turntable) I finally had to get a digital version.
Dale, that's from a record called The Carl Stalling Project--a collection of lots of the classic cartoon music done by Carl Stalling. It's a great soundtrack to life around here.
Now that is an eclectic list! From Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker to the Velvet Underground and Bauhaus.
Bauhaus was a late-life discovery for me-- my old friend Ron turned me on to them.
Did you check out the Abe Vigoda site (www.abevigoda.com)? There's a spoof on Bela Lugosi's Dead entitled "Abe Vigoda's Dead."
I'll be looking that up now Bubs. Sounds like a great thing to have running behind your life.
