Scorpions on a plane!

You know one thing you don't expect to encounter on a flight from Chicago to Vermont?

Scorpions.

An unlucky fellow flying on a United flight from Chicago to Vermont was repeatedly stung by a scorpion:

"The scorpion bit David Sullivan on the back of his right leg, just below the knee, crawled up through his crotch and down his left leg, he thinks, before getting him again in the shin."
It looks like the feisty arachnid stowed away on a flight from Houston, Texas to Chicago.

Thanks to the ever-vigilant Johnny for the tip on this one.

I'm sorry, but if I got bit in the leg, and felt something crawling through my pants, I think I might check it out.

Maybe he thought he had history's worst case of the crabs.

Ow, you're a good crowd! Maybe this guy just had a history of creeping sensations on his skin J.Y.

Katy, I worry more about respiratory diseases when I'm on airplanes.

A lot of stuff seems to happen in and around Chicago. Where's the last part of the Chicago Triangle?

Houston ----?----Chicago

Ew!
Just reading that made me all squirmy.

I think it's Petaluma, California. In fact, forget the other parts of the triangle-- it may be entirely contained within Petaluma:

I got this from the blog "Two Minutes In the Box,"

Petaluma, eh?

YIKES! I just read that article. Petaluma's like the Simpsons' Springfield--the town where everything happens. Thanks.

I'm thinking this was actually some kind of erotic pet got loose and the fellow wasn't willing to fess up. It crawled up through his crotch???? I'm betting it had a little help there.

Ow. I met a scorpion once, but it was in Central America and apparently they are much less aggressive and poisonous than the Texan variety.

WT, the Texan variety are really just more of a nuisance. Although, since I've never been stung by one, I might be totally wrong on that.

Anon, I know what you mean. I was perplexed by the crotch-scorpion.
