I think this album is one of our most played in the house.

I'm catching up lately on all the music I've liked over the years but could never afford to buy, or that I had on vinyl and haven't listened to in years, or had stolen at parties.

You definately need to own Murder Ballads. His version of Stagger Lee says "Muther F***er" like 20 times or something.

Way different than the one I grew up with.

It's one of the few influences my husband gave me instead of the other way around.

Kate, we've got that one, just got it a couple months ago. Yes, the f-bomb count is really impressive.

Nick Cave has a fabulous dark soul.

Nick is pretty damned awesome. I got into him after watching the film he wrote the screenplay and soundtrack for THE PROPOSITION and then bought a few albums. Love them.

Hey man - ditto about Murder Ballads - womderful. And tagging Dylan's Death Is Not The End was a genius touch. I liked his lastdouble elpee - Abbatoir Blues too. In fact you've made me get it our and I'm listening to the wonderful T Rex Gospel stompalong that is opener Get Ready For Love right now. All his stuff is great, but of the early stuff, you can't beat Deanna, and this track is amazing.
