Today ended much better than it started--surprisingly well, in fact. I got home and hit the shuffle and here's what came up:
Rock and Roll—The Velvet Underground
Sweet Jane—Gang of Four
I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down—Elvis Costello
Remember Me—Willie Nelson
My Tornado—The Raveonettes
James Bond Theme—Moby
Fujyama Mama—Wanda Jackson
Thunderbird—The Casual-Aires
I'm Sticking With You—The Velvet Underground
A Brand New Me—Dusty Springfield
No margaritas today, but I picked up a case of Bass Ale from Costco on sale for $9.95 and I'm sitting here getting a good beer buzz on watching Suddenly, Last Summer with MizBubs, our eldest and eldest's boyfriend. It's a good night.
I hope y'all have a great weekend!

Sounds like a great way to spend an evening!
Personally, I'm still in my weird little vodka and diet coke phase.
You've got to like a random ten that has three Velvet Underground songs (I'm assuming that the Gang of Four song is a cover of the VU song). And Wanda Jackson-- I've been getting into her music-- they play her on Little Steven's Underground Garage a lot.
Glad the day improved! My birthday, which I was totally ready for it to have a few nice surprises, including one wonderfull one. I'll be posting about it later.
A case of Bass for ten bucks? That's a good price for a 12'er in these parts and I love me some Bass Ale.
Your list reminds me I've been so tempted to pick up some Willie Nelson lately.
A very VU heavy list - nice way to start off a weekend.
There's nothing wrong with beer vs margaritas - less blender work involved.
Love the list and the drinking policy in effect Bubs.
Want to come see The Head Cat and Dick Dale with Lulu and me on Monday? It'll be fun! It's at the Double Door.
Tenacious, would love to but I'll be out of town. I got lucky and picked up a short-notice investigation job in Florida (OF ALL PLACES?!) I fly out Sunday afternoon and I'll be back Wednesday. I'll get to make up some of the money I lost when the LV job fell thru.
Ooh, I've got to dig out my old Gang of Four casettes and see if they still play. Totally love "Armalite Rifle."
Watch out for the drug-addled, reptile-bearing maniacs!
