Bloggers are damn fine people

That's my sweeping generalization, anyway.

MizBubs and I are home now after Lulu's going away shindig at Toons. While we were there we saw (obviously) Lulu, Tenacious S and her husband, Mr. T, the lovely Megan and Chris from Some Guy's Blog, and Johnny Yen. Megan and Chris, for those of you who haven't met them, are fun and adorable, and it makes me feel really good to be around two people who act like newlyweds. Plus we met a bunch of Lulu's friends, and a nice group they were, too.

So, since I'm related by marriage to Splotchy (who is fast becoming the most popular blogger in the world) and we've also spent time with Kim, I'm ready to make the following bold pronouncement:

Bloggers are damn fine people.

Mr. T had to poke Megan in the arm to make sure she was real. Great to see you guys last night.

I love it when the real world meets the internetz and nothing bad happens.

Good for you folks.

And I must say, Bubs, I am surprised to see from the picture that you let your hair go grey again!

It was indeed a great night, wasn't it? Sorry I didn't meet you and Mizbubs at Feed the Beast-- I ended up staying until a little after midnight. We need to arrange another get-together.

My friend Noah thinks you are " a prince of a guy" and MizBubs was the belle of the ball. Everyone loves her.

Thank you so much for coming! I had a wonderful time, and it was so much fun to see so many people I adore all in one spot.

Give Noah my email Lulu. He was really good to talk with.

We're going to miss you. Hope you have a good internet connection there.

Johnny, it was fun wasn't it?

Barbara, I'm a regular chameleon. Except, with hair.

Ten, good seeing you too! It's been too long. We have to get together more often. Miz was telling me about your Naked Raygun adventure coming up.

I went on camera last night to proclaim my, uh, undying support/fanaticism for NR. Between Lulu's party and the Cobra Lounge hang with the NR boys, I sure had a fun night.

Just to play devil's advocate: I blog, and I'm a real shithead.

anandamide, nonsense. You might be a shithead, but I bet you'd still be fun to have a drink or two with. You're damn fine in your own way. So there.

Ten, when can we see this? We don't have to get on some Naked Raygun superfan mailing list, do we?

Thank God, Bubs. You finely provided me with the endoresement I have been waiting for all these years.

I'm going to save a ton on therapy bills.

You are THE BEST.

Right back atcha, Bubs! It was great to see everyone. It would've been nice to stay a little longer, but the Wrigley Field sun sapped most of our energy.

I'm always jealous when I read of your fine fun evenings, sounds like a blast. Is the next one in Bangladesh?

Dale, I'm pushing for Thailand, once Lulu gets let out on shore leave.

Chris, I thought you held up remarkably well. I realized that, in that environment, I'm probably better at standing inappropriately close to people and yelling loudly to make myself heard than some normal people are comfortable with.

Kim, not everyone gets the prized S.R.C. Seal of Approval. You are welcome!

You could always go into teaching when you retire.

We act like newlyweds?! :-)

We had fun. . .when's the next Chi-blog-o get together?

How great is that? Sounds like it was fun!
