I just realized that it's been a while since I changed the songs on the Sound de Compound. Here's some new choices for your listening pleasure, just click on the widget over there to check 'em out:
It's a Good Day--Peggy Lee
Dixie Fried--Carl Perkins
Golden Rocket--Hank Snow
Hit the Road to Dreamland--Dean Martin
I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself--Dusty Springfield
I'm off to spend the day outdoors, shooting and cooking chili.

What do you shoot that goes into that chili?!
So sorry you won't be coming to Colorado this summer. The mountains beckon you to try again soon!
Did someone say chili???
I've been meaning - for months now - to pick up som D. Springfield. Thanks for the reminder.
Grant Miller, we have the Very Best of Dusty Springfield and, even better, Dusty In Memphis. The Memphis recordings include "Son of a Preacher Man" and were recorded in the same studio, slightly earlier, that Elvis would use for the sessions that yielded "Suspicious Minds" "Cold Kentucky Rain" and "In the Ghetto". It's a great sound. I'll be happy to burn it for you.
Fran, yes, chili. I'll have more on that later.
GKL, I'm sorry too. Another time, hopefully soon. As for the chili, I managed to keep the lead fragments, shrapnel, and cigar ash out of it. This time.
I first read it as shouting and cooking chili which is acceptable as well.
Sounds like good times.
Why do you have to shoot the chili first?
