They aren't cynical enough.
I'm less amazed at his corruption than his stupidity.
I nearly peed my pants laughing when I heard that on the presser yesterday!
Heh.. I wonder how these guys would have responded to Boss Tweed's Tammany Hall political machine. Then again, I hear that Richard Daley was no saint either. Nice to know that the FBI and the DOJ aren't just chasing international terrorists.
Even by Illinois standards, it's pretty shocking. And worse, he doesn't have the sense to get out while the getting is good. I heard his chief of staff resigned yesterday. He should follow suit.
