I hereby officially proclaim today to be SUPER FAT TUESDAY.
A quick trip to Super H Mart landed me some outstanding fresh shrimp for only $5.99/pound, and fresh oysters too! We ended up having a tasty dinner, washed down with Abita Turbo Dog beer, while we watched election results. I don't have any pictures or recipes, but suffice it to say that there was bacon, and more than one stick of butter. And not one, but two big iron skillets.
Not all the results are in, but here at Sprawling Ramshackle Compound we're ready to make one announcement:
Mike Huckabee is well on his way to being the GOP nominee for Jesusland.
Now all I have to do is get the rest of the PTA Moms for Obama, who've been slugging back Sazeracs and celebrating all night, to get dressed and go home already.
