The compound is under construction. Gathering enough plywood, galvanized tin and used trailers takes time, not to mention stockpiling all the shotgun ammo, canned goods and bourbon.
One of my old acquaintances (okay, an old drinking buddy) was a photographer who did professional shots for John Wayne Gacy. One night he brought prints in-- really creepy.
I'm sure there's a scary clown site out there somewhere, but that's not my source. No, I am blessed with understanding relatives who form the support team. They know my interests and keep me well-informed. Get a load of this:
My brother's wife tipped me off to a bourbon & barbecue dinner that's coming up in a few weeks.
My kids got me the Spike Lee documentary on Katrina and Rich's book "The Greatest Story Ever Sold" about the Bush administration.
MizBubs' sister and her husband gave me a book on clowns: 1,000 Clowns, More or Less. It is a treasure trove of clowny goodness.

Clowns are frightening. I'm scared.
I hate to tell you this, but one thing you'll be seeing more of at the compound this year is scary clowns.
By the way, the clown in that picture is "Chucko" the birthday clown.
I was wondering-- is there a "scary clown" site, similar to the kids-crying-at-santa site?
