Ah yes -- Bauhaus. Brian Eno & David Byrne My Life in the Bush of Ghosts -- love it. And the website that let's people remix songs and overdub. Very very cool.

Gotta love a mix that includes both The Strokes and Tom Waits.

My iPod has been eerily favoring Eno lately. Mostly the ambiant stuff like Apollo and Music For Films. The Wifey can't stand it and has a tattooed tear
"one for every time it plays", she said, ah There's nothing wrong with her that a hundred dollars won't fix.

Most of that is true. I think you know what parts.

I forgot about the Bauhaus Ziggy, very cool.

Dale, I almost like it better than Bowie's. Almost.

Coolcat...yeah. Oh yeah. I didn't realize that was a Minneapolis reference until we saw Tom Waits last summer. He did a little bit about how neighborhoods he wrote songs about have changed, he mentioned someone telling him "9th and Hennepin, I bought sandals there" and his response was "sandals? I got SHOT there..."

Beth, thanks. I like it too!

Erik, I just re-discovered that record recently. I was telling my eldest about it, and she's latched onto it now.

Bauhaus' cover of Ziggy Stardust was great!

Elvis Costello's Armed Forces album is one of those albums that just knocked me on my ass when I first heard it. I wish I still had my original vinyl copy of it, with the 45 with the live cover of Accidents Will Happen on it.

Okay, my word verification begins with "bcup." What does that mean?

Slavic Soul Party. Never heard of them. But great name for a band. Any good?

Grant Miller, they're entertaining, kind of a cross between gypsy music and brass band funk.

Johnny, I agree on both counts. I still have that original vinyl with the 45. "bcup"? Hmmm. I think that's the size Homer got down to when he lost weight.
