Came in late Friday Random Ten

Because the night ended with having to drag an ugly naked man off the toilet, and yet another exposure to hepatitis C. And it wasn't even the right guy. So after washing my hands up to my elbows for a half hour or so, it was time to go out for a drink after work.

Ball and Chain—Social Distortion

Downtown—Tom Waits

My deepest and humblest apologies, good sir. I have finally brought your Secret Santa gift. Better stylishly late than never, I always say!

Talk about taking one for the team. Yuck.

Home of the Blues indeed! Soon it'll be a new year and you'll whip it good I'm sure Bubs. Happy New Year.

You sure know how to have fun at work! Are you sure one drink was enough?

Ball and Chain is one of my favorites. My ex-wife (ex-wife #1) had a video of a tour that Mike Ness and friends took to California in a school bus. The bus ended up breaking down and all the punk-rockers had to call their parents for money to get back home.

I haven't heard Tom Jones' version of Detroit City in ages. I love Bobby Bear's original, too.

The music gods must have known you needed encouragement-- they made the Cramps turn up twice on your random shuffle.

YEESH! I don't know how you do what you do.

you and Diane Arbus -- all in the line of duty. A salute -- and to the music choices, of course . . .

Thanks for the salute Erik. Whew.

Chaylene, I mostly fake it.

Johnny, I haven't heard the original version of Detroit City in years. Thanks for the reminder! That's a great story about the bus.

Barbara, in answer to your question, note the 2nd pitcher of Newcastle Brown Ale in the picture.

Dale, I hope so. I have a toast prepared for New Years, I think I'll reveal it on New Years Day.

Kirby, it got better tonight. I found myself standing in a room with a body that had sat there for about a week ripening before the neighbors complained of the smell.

Germaine, your gifts were WONDERFUL! Thanks!

WP, excellent additions!

Um, I didn't want to step on the post above, so Happy New Year to the whole Bubs family!
