"Everyone who has talked down to us is going to eat their words..."

-Clayton County, Georgia, police officer Matt Whitton, responding to critics skeptical of his claim of discovering a genuine bigfoot carcass.

Oh, man. As if Clayton County needs more pad press. Their schools are about to lose accreditation. The school board is in complete disarray, the county's neighbors want to wall off the county to keep the yahoos in and now this?

Even up here in the hills, we look at Clayton County as a cautionary tale.

P.S. Glad to see something new from Bubs in the feed reader!

You had to know that the thing would end badly. And so should he have. He so deserved to lose his job.

Talk about a prank gone wrong. I wonder which "R" Officer Whitton is feeling right about now?

Just to add a thought-provoking postscript, it's been pointed out that the New York Times was writing about the Bigfoot hoax while the National Enquirer was investigating John Edwards. What's wrong with that picture?

It seems the Grammar Police have been slackin' if it took a hoax like this to "go into his credibility and integrity."

(Actually, I don't mind bad grammar, but when it is accompanied by moronic behavior, I'm like a barracuda... whatever that means.)
