Blood gums up the zamboni
Eldest daughter, to friend on phone discussing the upcoming Zombies on Ice event in Millenium Park this weekend:
"No free-flowing blood. I don't know, it has to do with maintaining the ice, they don't want to get blood on it. I'm not sure."
Me, yelling from the next room after overhearing her end of the conversation:
"Blood gums up the zamboni."
Daughter:
"My dad says blood gums up the zamboni."

I just hate it when blood gums up the Zamboni.
I'd love to be a fly on your walls for a few weeks, just for moments like this.
That's the greatest phone conversation since those dudes from Montreal pranked Mooselini.
We do have great phone conversations in this family. Last night our youngest had her boyfriend visiting, when Bubs got a phone call. Next thing you hear is "Yeah, she was still stiff, but the warm water sped up her decomp rate." I looked at the young man and tried my best to smile like June Cleaver. Nothing wrong here, folks...
Mizbubs, that right there may be the best comment I have ever read!
I can just picture you, please tell me you had your pearls on!
Are you sure you guys aren't Canadian? Because every Canadian knows that blood gums up the Zamboni.
Of course, this begs the question, "did you have a case that would explain how your knowledge of this phenomena?"
Y'all should come out here, we have zombie flash mobs too.
Fatherly wisdom at it's best.
That is beyond Classic, and into the realm of Sublime...
I guess I'm just impressed you knew what a Zamboni was. I had to Google it. I guess they try to avoid running over people with those things then.... That's good.
Couldn't they get a fifty gallon drum of Summer's Eve for the zamboni?
Hey, what happened to the holiday pics?
Well, duh.
I think people just like saying Zamboni.
I could just hear the Zamboni driver's thoughts:
uh oh.. where's the ice-scraper dude with the shovel and pail?
Spartacus, that was after an "uh-oh" and an uncomfortable moment of silence.
Kate! Good to see you! And you're right, I can't get enough of saying "zamboni". Sometimes I alter my pronunciation of it to make it more dramatic.
Ten, right? Like, doesn't everyone know that?
Cormac...sorry to disappoint. Be thankful I didn't sneak a clown in there somewhere.
Kirby...Kirby. That's just inappropriate. And hilarious.
Freida, I can tell you're not from around here.
Megan, Dr. MVM, thank you!
Cormac--ah, got to love the zombie flash mobs. As for the knowledge, I got some.
Barbara, here in the upper midwest we're like Canadians, only pushier and more prone to gunplay.
OMG, that is freakin' AWESOME. Guess who's going to steal that line the next time they stop play from someone bleeding.
