The compound is under construction. Gathering enough plywood, galvanized tin and used trailers takes time, not to mention stockpiling all the shotgun ammo, canned goods and bourbon.
With her finger pointing like that, all I can hear her saying is, "YOU will be the first to die when I am old enough for a FOID card".
I thought that was a statue at first. Now that I know there is an actual person behind that mask...well, let's just say I might be sleeping with the lights on tonight.

The daughter is angrily reminding the parents that she'll be the one choosing their nursing home some day. And it won't be a nice one.
