20 years of excellence in law enforcement

Today is my anniversary. I have been on the job 20 years, which means that, unless I go out and commit a felony, I could quit tomorrow and when I turn 50 I'll collect a pension of 50% of whatever my top pay is. Until I die, and then MizBubs gets it until she dies. For every year I hang on beyond this, I get an extra 2.5% until I max out at 75% at 30 years.

Thank Jeebus for the civil service.

Who would ever have thought this whole cop thing would have worked out so well for me?

Thank Jeebus for the civil service.

Amen to that. Now, if I may be permitted to make a suggestion, don't commit any felonies, at least any that are obvious.

Congratulations. Now be careful out there.

Wow! Congratulations!

That's a pretty sweet deal you guys get. Of course, you totally deserve it.

Thanks for catching the bad guys!

Congratulations and several other services and industries would like to commend you on the momentous day, as well...

The Illinois Bureau of Prisons says, "when we add wings, we name them after Bubs."

The Association of Illinois Bakeries says, "our cake sales have gone up five-fold since he has made detective."

The Stanley Tool Corporation, "for some odd reason, our metal file sales have increased five-fold since he has made detective."

I agree with Slylersdad, I thought I already said congrats, but I also noticed that post was made by your daughter and not you, which I thought was odd.

Did some housekeeping, did ya?

I've been cudjeling my brains all day trying to think of ANYTHING I've done for 20 years other than eat candy bars and jerk off...

I can't think of a single thing.

Well done, you! Don't you love flirting with retirement? It's the best fantasy ever.

Congrats, Bubs. It's nice to know people like you are on the job, protectin' us and keepin' the peace. Well done!

Congrats! It's good, too, that you're enjoying your work again, as you were telling me the other day when you stopped by.

30 years in law enforcement == 75% pension pay?

Don't thank Jeebus for the civil service. Thanks to you guys for doing bust-your-ass critical work for three decades with comparatively little payback.

Seriously, 30 years of police work merits a bigger payback, if you ask me.

Try to stick to simple misdemeanors, please.

And congratulations!
