Lettuce Dogs

Yes, that's what I said. Lettuce dogs.

There they go, toiling away for their midget masters.

I'm ready to end my all marathon, all the time, posting now. I'll start the break with this week's random ten:

Poor Boy—Elvis Presley

Fort Worth Jail—Skeets McDonald

Leave Me Alone—Lou Reed

Fancy—Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Terminator X To The Edge of Panic—Public Enemy

You're The One For Me, Fatty—Morrissey

Long Black Veil—Nick Cave

Hillbilly Hare—The Carl Stalling Project

Cryin' But My Tears Are Far Away—The Knitters

Take It Off—The Genteels

That is all.

I notice one basket is suspiciously empty. That dog will be shredded by the teeth of evil clown midgets. I quite sure that is what clown midgets do.

Great list, as always.

Hey, I knew you were on the road to recovery when you posted about evil clowns.

j.g. I found them on some Brit newspaper website, it actually identified them as "Chinese Lettuce Dogs" but I couldn't confirm the source. I didn't want to give blame/credit to the Chinese unless I was sure.

Katy, isn't it though? Although, if in fact those ARE Chinese lettuce dogs, they're probably going to end up as spring roll filling.

Johnny, I like to think of myself as fairly resilient.

Coolcat, they're probably bringing lunch to those clowns that appear a few posts down.

This is the blog for me, fatty.

How long did it take you to find that picture?

That is my all-time favourite Morrissey song title. Although he would be aghast at the sight of those lettuce dogs, no doubt.

Lettuce Dogs - wasn't that a Tom Waits album?

anandamide, good one!

W.P. is that in place of, or addition to, the e-coli?

Barbara, as long as the dogs are humanely treated. They might be bringing that lettuce to vegans.

Grant Miller, thanks. I actually found this picture while looking for news items involving naked people. They were identified as "Chinese Lettuce Dogs" but since I couldn't confirm their national origin I left it at just plain "Lettuce Dogs"

Lettuce dogs, eh? Where is the number to call to have a head of lettuce delivered to me? I'm about to make a ham and cheese sammich and need some lettuce. C'mon, this is New York, there has to be a lettuce-delivery-by-dog service somewhere around here! Mush! Mush!!
