I am about to pull a Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I just rented a car and am going to drive home tomorrow. I figure I can make it in around 14 hours or so.
Which is way faster, and with more comfortable seating and meal service, and cheaper, than American Airlines can.
And I will never again fly to Dallas on business without first:
- Making some kind of burnt offering or sacrifice to every deity I can think of,
- Bringing all my good luck charms, amulets, religious icons, gris-gris, and
- Charging a LOT more money than I did this time.

I am scheduled to fly to Boston on Sunday, and the travel agent says this mess should be over by then. Sorry for you it's not sooner.

I would start driving Bubs. I had a friend who drove from Atlanta back to Denver after 9/11 closed all the air travel. He said it wasn't too bad.
Good luck. I hate flying, but love driving even though it takes longer.

IT sounds ugly. Smart move to do the drive; at least you can listen to music and feel as though you're getting somewhere.
Well, that's inconvenient. But, everyone can use a good road trip once in a while. Happy trails.
you know the city is not that bad - but be sure to use another airline. remind me to give you my cell as a frequent traveler I usually know a few tricks and can help you next time your in those situations.

I hope you are having a safe trip. If it's any consolation, the other airlines are bending over for a good f*cking as well, though they have a little more lead time to prepare.

Makes you wonder what super genius's came up with that idea. It was obviously working fine in that time that those planes really were running. Its also funny because on the world news they said that they were even trying to book people on competitor airlines.
