The compound is under construction. Gathering enough plywood, galvanized tin and used trailers takes time, not to mention stockpiling all the shotgun ammo, canned goods and bourbon.

Midweek public service announcement
I know I've posted this before, but as you get home and make it just past halfway through the grind of your work week, I think it bears repeating. It is, in fact, often possible to care even less than you do presently.

Thank you! That's long been a pet peeve of mine. Along with weathermen who say the temps are unseasonable for this time of year.
I describe things in varying degrees of "apathy"; at least I sound sophisticated.
I just shrug and grunt. Does that count, or is that taking th' easy way out??
I could care more, but I don't care all that much.
