Best blog post headline in weeks

And here it is, courtesy of the always entertaining Mock, Paper, Scissors:

Constant vigilance!

Back to work. It's an ugly job, but someone's got to do it.

Even furries have standards

"...we can't have that going on at the furmeet"

Excerpt from a text message sent to Richael Michels, a 45 year old Fort Collins mother accused of introducing her daughter's 16-year-old ex-boyfriend to the "furry lifestyle" and having sex with him. The text was sent by a fellow furry who disapproved of the conduct.

Richael was known to her victim as "Kitteh".

Dispatch from Pittsburgh

My source in Pittsburgh tells me that Anthrocon is off to a flying start. There's a get-acquainted mixer on Thursday night where the attendees, in various stages of fursuit, may get their dance on:

Got plans for this weekend?

If you don't, you still have time to make it to Anthrocon 2009, billed as "the galaxy's largest furry convention!" July 2-5 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.

I know, you thought Pittsburgh was all yinzers, Primanti Brothers sandwiches, zombies, and Andy Warhol.

No. It's so much more than that. When you get there, say hi to Pam and Mister Tuggles.

Anthrocons convention turns city into 'real zoo'

Turns out the biggest furry convention in the world, Anthrocon, takes place in Pittsburgh--not Chicago, or New York, or San Francisco. Who'd have thought?

Oh, one more thing: don't mistake furries for plushies.

Then I had a thought: what if there were furry clowns? Well, guess what--there are:
